Mary Poppins

by P. L. Travers

The Banks children of Seventeen Cherry-Tree Lane have just lost yet another nanny. Luckily, the wind has mysteriously blown Mary Poppins to their doorstep.

Though stern in demeanor, Mary Poppins is a marvel. She knows a match-man who paints magical pictures, and she has an airborne uncle. She also possesses a most unique compass.

As long as she remains in their lives, Jane, Michael, John, and Barbara will never be the same. Mary Poppins brings a sense of whimsy and fun to their young lives.

Imaginative and enjoyable.
