The Ice Princess

by Camilla Lackberg (translated by Steven T. Murray)

Erica Falck is a successful biographer. She has returned to her tiny hometown to deal with the estate of her recently deceased parents.

When she finds the dead body of a childhood pal (Alex), Erica is stunned. Vowing to solve the mystery of her friend's death, Erica joins forces with detective Patrik Hedstrom. Of course, it is more than a crime-solving partnership, and romance ensues.

My biggest problem with this novel lies in its many characters and plots. Too much is going on in the novel, which makes it difficult to focus on the primary mystery.
