Rebecca Rowena Randall is one of seven fatherless children on the farm. She has been given a great opportunity: the chance to become educated. To become educated, she must go live in town with her aunts, Miranda and Jane.
From the very start, Rebecca is full of spunk. Too much spunk for her aunts. But Rebecca perseveres and becomes an educated and polished woman.
Very, very reminiscent of Anne of Green Gables, which was written after this novel. AOGG is better than this one.
