How does one improve one’s fortune without doing any work? By marrying up, of course.
This is the tale of two women desperate to marry up: Alexa MacDonald and Lady Florence Trevorigus-Whyske-Cleethorpe (Florrie). Alexa aspires to the high life, but has recently learned that the moneyed class is not impressed with her attempts to sleep her way to the top. Florrie is a party girl, whose mother, Lady Annabel, would like nothing more than to see her daughter marry a prince.
Enter Max, also known as Maxim, the Crown Prince of Sedona. He’d be quite a catch for either young lady, but he’s not interested in marriage. He is more interested in pursuing a degree in veterinary medicine.
