Blackberry Pie Murder

by Joanne Fluke

In this latest offering from Fluke, the Hannah Swensen series seems to suffer from a lack of ideas. Instead of the cookie baker finding the usual dead body, she actually hits someone with her vehicle and kills him. But who? The man is a stranger to Lake Eden. Therein lies the mystery.

Oh my goodness, this mystery really is awful. Pimps, whores, bejeweled teeth, long-lost daughters, and Hannah’s mother’s wedding plans are just the tip of the iceberg of ridiculousness.

It’s over, Ms. Fluke. Please stop. This is the worst mystery of the series, AND Hannah still hasn’t chosen between Mike and Norman. Ugh.
