by Sarah Glidden
This memoir/graphic novel tells the story of Glidden’s experience taking a “birthright Israel” tour.
As she embarks on the tour, Glidden is a skeptic, unsure of how she truly feels about and understands the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. On the tour, she tries to stay objective and not get caught up in the Israeli propaganda.
The tour is eye-opening for Glidden, though I’m not sure that it really changed her feelings about Israel. I think it just added to her confusion.
Still, this is a good read. Glidden covers an interesting topic with nice illustrations.
