Wendy McClure is obsessed with the books of Laura Ingalls Wilder. Spunky Laura Ingalls took Wendy to places she’d never been. Ah, the simplicity of the prairie life!
So, as an adult, McClure rediscovers her passion for the prairie books and begins a quest of her own. She will churn butter. She will bake bread. And she will visit significant sites in the life of Laura Ingalls Wilder, including De Smet, SD and Walnut Grove, MN.
This could have been a great book. The ideas were there, but the execution and organization were not. A diary format may have been more effective and enjoyable.
