Summer at Tiffany

by Marjorie Hart

The summer of ’45 was an unforgettable summer for Marjorie Jacobson. With her fellow sorority sister, Martha “Marty” Garrett, Marjorie left Iowa to spend the summer in New York. When their expected place of employment (Lord & Taylor) didn’t hire them, the plucky young ladies marched into Tiffany & Co. Bingo!

This light memoir chronicles their summer at Tiffany and their adventures in the big city. Most exciting was VJ Day in Times Square.

Fun, frothy, and slightly sentimental, Summer at Tiffany is a nice escape for anyone who has ever coveted a gift in the light blue box.
